I absolutely agree with you. Duplicate detection will make jaanix more useable. A bigger logo that takes up visual space will not.

Same here. The current theme might use some polishing up.
My suggestions for the current theme - make the sliders more Gnome-like, make the arrows bolder, and make the logo prettier.
I don't really like the proposed logo because it just doesn't feel right (maybe the italic?).
